Pollinator Pathways

The Lewisboro Garden Club has logged over 50 public and private gardens participating in the Pollinator Pathway Program. We have joined forces with the Fairfield and Westchester County initiatives in support of pollinators. Other community groups, such as Lewisboro Girl Scouts and the Lewisboro Land Trust, have participated in our shared interest in creating a diverse biological pathway in our town. Native, pollinator eco-type plantings, are strongly encouraged.

Rooting for Lewisboro

“Rooting for Lewisboro” has distributed 8,760 seedlings  to Lewisboro residents since the program began 5 years ago. Trees and shrubs are critical for our wildlife, air and water quality and the reduction of storm water runoff to our lakes, streams and reservoirs. We hope that you will join our effort and plant some native trees and shrubs this spring. LGC purchases trees and shrubs from the Department of Environmental Conservation, which anyone can purchase from us. These are bare root seedlings, and will be approximately 5-14” tall. They will arrive in late April and should be planted as soon as possible. More details about the Rooting for Lewisboro program and the list of available trees and shrubs is available on this page
